This is getting seriuos, need new professional and customizable router
and also one that have a wide range
Current Router : ZHONE (came with KEMS)
Problems :
1- Other router users make other router users slow (youtube/flash)
2- When 'kinda' far from router, latops/xbox can connect but it says 'Limited Connnectivity' aka cant do anything even enter router IP, ONLY PS3 can go online with the same distance (i know how far i can go, i didnt go far away, actually the OLD router do the job, the current one doesnt)
Need What ? :
1- A router with wide/good range that any device in the house reach it
2- Ability to divide/limit speed to devices (like users, 1 get 50%, 2 get the other 50%)
3- Ability to block(also limit) ports/apps/sites, like youtube doesnt get more than 50kbps but reguler downloads are ok(with ability to limit), or block paltalk/msn/any app with ports
4- Dont want LAN overshadow the WAN (speed wise)
5- a way to give PS3/Xbox the اولوية (damn i had the word in my mind just lost it -.-;)
6- a way to make the current router (ZHONE) an extender to the new router
i HIGHLY prefer if the router is to be found in kuwait
thx in advance ^.^

75% if the new routers that have the feature WiFi-N comes with multimedia control features which is exactly what you are looking for.
but the differences in the way you give the priorities to the devices , some routers control the bandwidth or sometimes called QoS ( Quality Of Service ) by the application names, MAC Address, IP Address or by port.
the one im using is Linksys WAG160N , it does have the same features that i mentioned above this device lackes with QoS by IP Address.
and about reducing youtube and other video streaming websites , also about 80% of the home routers doesnt come with such advanced feature as it is belong to another part of network management, such features can be found in more advanced small business routers, mostly called ( UTM - Unified Traffic Manaement ), but they are REALLY pain in the ass to configure it, you really need to be very expert to manage it.
you can find small UTMs for small office from a company called ( Zyxel ) but they are a lil bit expensive and they cost around 100KD and above

Speed of the internet dosen't really depend on the router .. depends on the internet line from the wzara to ur home and your DSL speed .. bas easiest routers to scroll through are linksys .. easy to setup and customize
Linksys WRT54GC is one of the best [ its about 15-25kd ]

NiGoosHii (http://topdark.com/vb/member.php?u=516) , you have to ready his question and request one more time i think :)
the features and options he requested is not available on the router you mentioned as it is old one and doesn't come with RJ-11 ( phone cable ) WAN port.

i was in 7awaly yesterday , and i saw some of good router
it is all about Bilkin , Linksys , D-Link , Buffalo
also most of them the WAN port is network port not telephone line port.
if you want to try , get the one i have ( Linksys WAG160N )

the features are amazing
but personally , I don't trust D-Link Wireless products , i have tested couple routers before and they are really suck when it comes to wireless.
maybe WiFi-N changed the life in D-Link , but after the bad experience with them i dont think so i can trust them again.
I will try to stick with Linksys as it is made by Cisco which is the most common and famous company and brand name and their networking devices are amazing, stable, customizable, can be managed by noobs and experts and last but not least , their products are very good for home users, small business and large enterprise companies.

If you want to solve the NAT problems you will need to set the router to open PSN specific ports for both of PS3's [you will need to set a static IP first for each]
You could also set your PS3 to DMZ but you still need to set a static IP for your PS3. Anyway there are tonnes of guides that will help if you want and about the router anything will do the job really imo
