We already said (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news.php?id=1060)that 2009 would be the year of the DLC and that is ringing true just as predicted. Gamers already will have had the chance to experience Fable 2's Knothole Island (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-2077-x360a-Review--Fable-2-Knothole-Island-DLC.html), Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-2140-x360a-Review--Fallout-3-s-Operation-Anchorage-DLC.html) and the coming weeks look to continue that trend with two Tomb Raider episodes (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-2110-Tomb-Raider-Underworld-DLC-Packs-Dated--Achievements-Confirmed.html) (February 10th & March 10th), a huge GTA IV episode (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-1885-GTA-IV-DLC-Details-Emerge.html) (February 17th), and Mirror's Edge time trials DLC (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-2071-Mirror-s-Edge-DLC-Gets-Concrete-Release-Date.html) (now some time in Feb (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-2142-Uh-Oh--Mirror-s-Edge-DLC-Gets-Pushed-Back-to-February.html)). Ubisoft have already stated that Prince of Persia DLC will be available in 2009 but today, in an interview with IGN (http://uk.xboxlive.ign.com/articles/948/948893p1.html), that DLC got dated and detailed.
The DLC is set to take place after the story ends (go figure!) and Jamal Rguigui, Associate Producer for the Epilogue DLC stated that it will be available on February 26th.
The DLC is said to be of "superior difficulty" and "adds to the understanding of PoP's new world and characters" as you head to the "Underground Palace" to take on the Shapeshifter; who takes the form of the Hunter & the Warrior. And yes, before you ask, there are achievements coming with it.
This is great news for Prince of Persia fans of new and old as the DLC looks to offer a greater challenge with a continuation of an already fantastic main game. Happy days? It is indeed.
